"Land of the Ring of Fire" (p. 3-4)

08:57am passengers are waiting in Cairo’s Airport for their flight going to Sudan. After a few minutes, the passenger’s plane arrived. Most of the passengers are African but there are also foreigners.
The plane is now starting to leave … Cell phones were off. The flight is really enjoyable, some of them opened the windows and they see chubby clouds. Some are eating, taking a sip of their teas and coffee, children are playing, some are reading books and newspapers, and old people are doing some stuff. After a few hours, while the others are enjoying, and busy, there’s a lady who’s feeling not right that she can’t understand, but she can hear and feel her every heartbeat, and she feels that really something to happen that’s why she feels so uneasy. A guy approached her and said, “Excuse me, miss. Does anyone sits here?” the guy charmingly asked her, and she just shook her head. And the guy sat, “are you a Filipino?” the guy added again. “Yes. Yes I am. Why?” She replied hiding her being uneasy.
“Where are you in the Philippines?”
“I’m sorry but I really don’t talk too much in strangers.” she looked at him sarcastically. The guy just smiled at her and said this, “I’m sorry. By the way I am Oscar, just call me that name. I am a Filipino too.”
“Really?!” she’s surprised “but I thought you are either a Japanese or a Chinese.” she replied with curiosity.
“No, I’m a pure Pinoy. What’s your name?” Oscar asked her.
“Just call me El.” she said. The flight attendant offered the drinks and they got some, but suddenly the plane went up and down then the knife in the flight attendant’s tray fell down on El’s arm that caused it to bleed. Then the plane went back in its normal and constant position. The passengers were shock, but then calm down. But El’s arm is bleeding but she’s stopping herself to show the pain coz the knife is still standing deeply in her arms. Her tears were falling down coz of pain and she’s obviously scared and she snob childishly. Oscar is so worried and he doesn’t know what to do coz he can’t touch El for the fear it will coz her more pain. He seeks for help, searching for the medic, first aid or a doctor but no one got near them. And he noticed that the flight attendants are gone. There are two guys approached them who are even strangers to each other. “What happened?” the first guy asked. “The knife accidentally fell on her arm.” Oscar replied. “Hey! She’s bleeding so much!” The 2nd guy said. “Ok, miss. Just follow what I will tell you. I’m Kevin, and I’m a nurse.”Kevin assured her, “don’t worry; this is just one deep injury. What’s your name?”Kevin added. “I am El.” she replied, still in sobs. “Ok El. Follow what I am telling you. Stop crying.” Kevin said and she stopped.
“I need assistance.” Kevin requested.
“I will help. Just call me ‘Lucky’.” The 2nd guy said.
“Ok ,then I think luck will be on our side. First aid box, I need it.”
“I’ll get it.” Oscar volunteered and he ran for the first aid box and went back.
“Wow! You’re fast bro!”Lucky reacted.
“Now, hold her both arms. That will make no any movement.”Kevin said, and Lucky did.
“El, if you want to make this through, listen to me… close your eyes, take a deep breath, and calm down, and….” Kevin said, trying to make her calm, and all of a sudden, el shouted for pain and the other passengers, who are watching, are clapping their hands.
“That’s faster.” Lucky said, smiling.
“Success! The knife is now out of your arm, El.” Oscar said, gladly.
“Thank you.” She said and smiled at them. After that, Kevin did some medical stuff in her arm to lessen the pain and bleeding, while doing it, she’s talking to them.
“What are you, Kevin? American? ” El asked.
“Me? Oh, no. I’m not. I am a pure Filipino...”  Shaking his head and laughing.
“But you are more likely an American guy.”
“‘Coz of my slightly blond hair? And green contact lenses?” starting to wrap the bondage in her arm.
“Are those contact lenses?” she closely at Kevin’s eyes.
